# API Data Connector

The **Syteca API Data Connector** is a stand-alone component used for integrating a customer's IT system with Syteca via the REST API — typically for importing Syteca data into BI tools like Power BI. This page tracks every Data Connector release.

## Data Connector 1.9 (Build 1.9.6)

Released with Syteca 7.19.

### Issues fixed

* **References** — some references have been updated due to certain changes in the Application Server component.
* **Various other high-priority bug fixes.**

## Data Connector 1.8 (Build 1.8.3)

Released with Syteca 7.17.

### Issues fixed

* **Installation** — the Data Connector could not be installed if the Management Tool admin password used contained certain special symbols.

## Data Connector 1.7 (Build 1.7.164)

Released with Syteca 7.14.

### Improvements

* **System requirements** — Syteca Data Connector now works with new versions of Microsoft .NET Runtime (ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime v8.0.4 — Windows Hosting Bundle, or higher only) when using version 7.14 or higher of the Syteca Application Server.
