# Syteca 7.21

> Release notes for Syteca version 7.21 — new Management Tool UI design, Web Connection Manager (agentless PAM), Sensitive Data Masking, and Kill Application on macOS.

Syteca 7.21 is a major release with a new UI design, agentless PAM via the Web Connection Manager, and the new Sensitive Data Masking feature for Windows Clients.

## 7.21 (Build 7.21.1019)

### New features

* **Management Tool UI — new design.** A fresh visual style (color scheme, layout adjustments) to improve the UX and look & feel. Some pages have been partially modified in layout.
* **Web Connection Manager — agentless PAM.** The Web Connection Manager is now available as a simplified alternative to the desktop Connection Manager. Secrets can be launched directly from the Password Management page in the Management Tool, either **in the browser (agentless PAM)** or **locally**. See [Web Connection Manager](/docs/pam/access/web-connection-manager).
* **Sensitive Data Masking on Windows Clients.** Custom regex values can now be defined to detect and mask sensitive clear text data — passwords, SSNs, credit card numbers, and so on — on Windows Client computers that is displayed in the Session Viewer. Initially supported in: MS Word, MS Outlook (new and classic versions), Google Chrome, MS Edge, and Notepad++. See [Sensitive Data Masking](/docs/session-monitoring/masking/sensitive-data).
* **Alerts — Kill application on macOS.** The "Kill application" option is now also available for macOS Client computers (same way as for Windows Clients).
* **Linux Clients — record only on alert/USB trigger.** The **Record user activity only on alert or USB monitoring rule triggering** option is now also available to record activity on Linux Client computers only in the specified time periods before and after alerts are triggered (same way as for Windows and macOS Clients).

### Improvements

* **Account Discovery** — a secret can now be used for remote password rotation when onboarding Active Directory accounts discovered (same way as for Windows local and Linux accounts). See [Account Discovery](/docs/pam/discovery/overview).
* **Management Tool UI** — translations have been updated for the Chinese (ZH) language localization.
* **Third-party products** — various libraries used by Syteca have been updated to fix identified vulnerabilities (including OpenSSL for macOS and Linux Clients).
