7.12.8 (Build 7.12.37)
Issues fixed
- High Availability mode — high-priority bug fix involving Clients not coming back online (on the Client Management page) after Isolation mode was disabled when using a load balancer.
- High Availability mode — a Live session was displayed on the Client Sessions tab despite all nodes being disabled and offline on the Cluster Settings tab when using a load balancer.
- Application Server and database — the
EkranServerservice did not start after updating Syteca from 7.9 to 7.12 when using the PostgreSQL database installed on Linux.
7.12.5 (Build 7.12.35)
Issues fixed
- Application Server — significant RAM consumption by the
EkranServerservice in certain cases.
7.12 (Build 7.12.29)
New features
- Dashboards — BI productivity dashboards. The Interactive Monitoring page has been renamed to the Dashboards page, and a major revamp of this feature now allows 4 types of BI (business intelligence) productivity dashboards to be generated, with statistics on various measures of user productivity displayed as interactive, individually-customizable charts (similar to importing data from Syteca into Power BI report templates using the Syteca API Data Connector). See User Activity Dashboards.
- Reports — Session Viewing Status Grid Report. The new report type has been added, allowing whether all Client sessions have been viewed (by at least one user) to be conveniently checked, as well as who has viewed each session and when.
- macOS Clients — Active Directory integration. macOS users belonging to Active Directory domain groups are now integrated into Syteca and can be detected, monitored, and alerted on as such (similar way to Windows AD users).
- macOS Clients — AES-256 encryption. macOS Clients now use AES-256 encryption to exchange the binary data with the Application Server (similar way to Windows and Linux Clients). See Encryption.
Improvements
- Linux Clients — SELinux improvements. The installation and monitoring of SELinux Clients has been improved in various ways, with various bug fixes.
- Database structure optimized. Data migration begins after the Application Server starts up. See Update best practice.
Issues fixed
- Installing Windows Clients remotely — in certain cases, options for network scanning stopped displaying available endpoint computers.
- Installing Windows Clients remotely — the “Something went wrong” error was displayed if a space character was entered (e.g. accidentally pasted) before the IP address when scanning for new Clients using the Deploy Via IP Range option.
- Installing Linux Clients — the VS Code application displayed an error message after installation of the Linux Client.
- Updating Linux Clients — in certain cases, the Linux Client without a GUI interface displayed an error message when the Client was updated. See Update Clients.
- Client Management — in certain cases, the columns on the Client Management page sorted incorrectly.
