Prerequisites
Before using Syteca Endpoint Exposure Management , ensure that:- The Syteca Endpoint Exposure Management server module is installed .
- The Syteca Exposure Management Portal is installed .
- An Endpoint Exposure Management-enabled license is activated .
- Endpoint Exposure Management licenses are assigned to the Windows endpoints you want to monitor.
- Your account has the Endpoint Exposure Management administrative permission.
Deployment
Install the Endpoint Exposure Management Server Module
- During Server installation or update, select the option to install the Endpoint Exposure Management module.
- Configure the required settings, such as:
- Database name
- Other deployment-specific options
Install the Exposure Management Portal
- During Management Tool installation or update, select the option to install the Exposure Management Portal.
- Configure the required settings, such as:
- Exposure Management Portal connection settings
- Other deployment-specific options
Licensing
- Activate a serial key that includes the Endpoint Exposure Management application.
- Assign endpoint licenses with the Endpoint Exposure Management application enabled to the Windows endpoints that will be monitored.
Only licensed endpoints are evaluated by Endpoint Exposure Management and included in health score calculations.
Accessing Endpoint Exposure Management
- Open the Management Tool.
- Click Exposure Management in the main menu.
- The Exposure Management Portal opens in a new browser tab.
The Endpoint Exposure Management administrative permission is required to open the Exposure Management Portal.
Initial Configuration
- Assign policies to the required endpoint groups or endpoints.
Assign policies to Endpoint Groups whenever possible. Policies assigned to groups are automatically inherited by endpoints within those groups, simplifying administration and ensuring consistent coverage.
- Open the Dashboard to review your organization’s current risk exposure.
- Monitor:
- Use the Endpoint Details page and Risk Factors page page to identify issues requiring remediation.
- Follow the recommended remediation guidance to improve endpoint, policy, and organizational health scores.
