- Reports — various report generation issues (PDF not opening, CSV/XLSX/HTML displayed corrupted when using the Chinese (ZH) language Management Tool interface). Info now added to logs (not yet fully fixed).
- Management Tool UI — translations have been updated for the Korean (KO) language localization.
- Windows Clients — significant CPU and RAM usage observed on one Windows Client computer in certain cases (high screen resolution, constantly changing browser tab title).
- Azure SSO — the system created a new user account on every login after configuring Azure SSO authentication in certain cases (using an Active Directory account with “Auto-create a Management Tool account for a new user on the first SSO login” enabled).
- License management — after updating to Syteca 7.20 (7.20.596), some endpoint licenses were changing from “Terminal” to “Infrastructure” type.
- System errors and warnings — “Exception occurred during execution SQL command…” error notification was constantly added to the System Health Transaction log grid after updating to Syteca 7.19.10 (7.19.325).
- Application Server — significant RAM and CPU usage observed after updating to Syteca 7.19.30 (7.19.353).
- Third-party products — the OpenSSL library used by Syteca has been updated to fix identified vulnerabilities.

- Installing macOS Clients — it was not possible to generate the macOS Universal Client Installation (.tar.gz + .ini) package in the Management Tool in certain cases.
- Client groups — Client groups could not be added by users with the administrative “Client Installation and Management” permission.
- Reports — Client groups were not displayed in manually-generated Activity Summary Grid reports using the Report Generator.
- Alerts — x.com was defined as twitter.com in the alert rule of the “Social Networks” default alert.

- Default “admin” user can be disabled. The default “admin” user of the system can now be disabled (by another user in the default Administrators user group) for security reasons.
- gMSA/sMSA account for MS SQL connection. A gMSA/sMSA account can now be used for the connection between the MS SQL Server database and Syteca Application Server (e.g. for security reasons).
Improvements
- SIEM integration — the date & time of events on Client computers (
utcDateTime), in unified UTC+0 time zone, can now be viewed in the SIEM logs. See SIEM integration.
Issues fixed
- LDAP targets — the LDAP connection stopped functioning after updating to Syteca 7.19.306.
- Client monitoring — when Display an Additional Message on Login was enabled and User Filtering was configured (to only monitor specific users), the additional message was always displayed (even to unmonitored users) after updating to Syteca 7.19.355.
- Workforce Password Management — “Access to the selected folder is forbidden” error occurred when the default “admin” user attempted to edit a WPM secret. See Workforce Password Management.

- macOS Clients — record only on alert/USB trigger. The “Record user activity only on alert or USB monitoring rule triggering” feature is now also available for macOS Clients (similar way as Windows). User activity recording can be targeted to only before and after alert/USB events.
- Linux Clients — exclude specific users from Secondary Authentication. Specific users can now be excluded from needing to log in using Secondary User Authentication on Linux Clients for inline SSH sessions.
- Linux Clients — idle event detection in GUI sessions. Idle events can now be detected in Linux GUI Client sessions (similar to Windows and macOS Client sessions).
Improvements
- Dashboards page reorganized. The Home page is no longer available and now redirects to the Dashboards page, where all user productivity dashboards have been moved. All dashboards have been redesigned and improved to function with similar logic and look & feel. See User Activity Dashboards.
- Password Management page — UX improvements. Various improvements have been made on the Password Management page:
- Extra functionality on the Collapse Menu button (collapses/expands the Main Menu navigation).
- New movable divider between the Tree-View folder structure and the main Secret’s grid.
- New Last Rotation Time column.
- New Show secret’s folder floating icon (displayed when hovering over any secret).
- Alerts — regex on Linux Clients. Regular expressions can now also be used when defining alert rules for Linux Client computers (similar way as Windows Clients), including with the Command (Linux) and Parameter (Linux) parameters.
- Client Sessions — performance. Various performance improvements implemented for filters on the Activity Monitoring page. A new clickable Display total number of sessions button has been added (to only calculate and display this information if required).
- Account Discovery — Bulk Action and improvements.
- Bulk Action functionality added to the Rules tab.
- Accounts discovered can now be skipped (marked as not to be onboarded) and later restored to Unmanaged status if required.
- New Last Onboarding Time column added, with clickable links to open the corresponding Account Onboarding task on the Tasks List tab.
- The Secret Name is now automatically generated in a standard format when using Bulk Action to onboard accounts.
- Account Discovery — Computer Discovery rule improvements.
- The new PowerShell scanner is now also used by default (in addition to the WMI scanner) to maximize the number of privileged accounts discovered.
- Both scanners can now be configured. See WMI and PowerShell configuration.
- Various possible error messages (with specific troubleshooting information) are now written to the Application Server logs.
Issues fixed
- Installing Windows Clients remotely — Internal Server Error occurred while scanning for computers (on the IP Range Scan page) if non-digits were entered into the From or To address IP range fields.
- Data Connector — Duration of Application Usage was displayed incorrectly when a wider date range was selected in the Application Usage report template in Power BI. See Data Connector changelog.
- Third-party products — various libraries and components used by Syteca have been updated to fix identified vulnerabilities.
