The ACB service is a standalone IIS application — installed via MSI on a Windows host that has access to the Syteca Application Server. Three steps in order: confirm prerequisites, install the MSI, then set up a user account with a Refresh Token.
NOT AVAILABLE IN SAAS. This procedure applies to on-premises deployments only.

1. System requirements

For turning on IIS and configuring its features, see Management Tool installation prerequisites — the IIS configuration is identical.

ACB / Application Server version compatibility

Newer ACB versions have been released alongside the OpenAPI spec maintained by Syteca engineering — see the NEW flag on endpoints like Heartbeat. Check with your Syteca vendor for the version corresponding to your Application Server build.

2. Install the ACB service

The latest ACB version is always available at:
1

Download the MSI

Download the .zip file from the URL above. Extract it to get the .msi installer.
2

Run the installer

Double-click the .msi file to open the installation wizard. Follow the wizard prompts — defaults are appropriate for most deployments.
3

Verify installation

After installation completes, the ACB service is installed as an IIS application. Two things are now available:
  • The REST API at https://<hostname>/SytecaACB/...
  • The CLI tool at C:\Program Files (x86)\Ekran System\Ekran System Application Credentials Broker\Console\SytecaACBConsole.exe
The install path C:\Program Files (x86)\Ekran System\Ekran System Application Credentials Broker\Console\ is a literal legacy system identifier — preserve it exactly in scripts and automation.

3. Verify registration in the Management Tool

After installation, the ACB service registers itself with the Application Server. Verify by signing in to the Management Tool, clicking the Configuration gear icon, and selecting the Applications tab — a new record for the ACB service should appear there. If you need to deactivate the ACB integration later, click the Remove icon on the right of the application’s row on the Applications tab. To reactivate, reinstall.
