Open Registry Editor

From the Start menu, select Run, enter regedit, and select OK.
Administrative credentials are required to run regedit.
2

Navigate to the .NET Framework subkey

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full. If the Full subkey isn’t present, .NET Framework 4.5 or higher isn’t installed.
3

Check the Release value

Look for a REG_DWORD value named Release. If it exists, .NET Framework 4.5 or higher is installed — its number maps to a specific version (for example, 528040 corresponds to .NET Framework 4.8).

The resulting dump files contain detailed information about what caused the crash.
