Release 7.21 introduces several impactful updates to Syteca’s capabilities. Here’s a quick look at the platform’s new features:
Sensitive data masking
Syteca UAM is the first solution on the market to offer real-time sensitive data masking during user session monitoring. The platform now automatically detects and obscures confidential information, such as passwords, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, and other confidential data during both live session viewing and session recordings.
Masking sensitive data helps protect users’ sensitive information from exposure and supports compliance with data privacy regulations, standards, and laws like the GDPR, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
How it works:
When Syteca can detect the precise location of sensitive data on the screen, it blurs only that area. If the on-screen location cannot be determined, the entire screen is blurred to prevent exposure. Clipboard and keyboard input containing sensitive data are also obscured.
Currently, the feature supports Chrome and Edge browsers as well as Microsoft Office apps, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Web connection manager
Syteca PAM now provides agentless privileged access management. Employees and vendors can securely initiate remote sessions directly from their browser, with no local software required.
The web connection manager allows you to streamline and accelerate privileged access provisioning while reducing requirements for specialized setup and IT department overhead.
How it works:
Without the need for an agent, users can initiate RDP sessions (Windows systems) and SSH sessions (Linux and Unix) using stored secrets. Sessions can be launched on Windows and macOS in supported browsers (Chrome, Safari, and Edge).

Full-motion capture of on-screen activity
Syteca has also upgraded session recording: instead of static screenshots, the platform now provides smooth, continuous full-motion videos. Every user click and cursor movement is now captured, offering full visibility into user activity with no gaps.
Full-motion capture gives your security team uninterrupted insight into user sessions, allowing for faster incident investigations, deeper forensic analysis, and more detailed audit trails that leave no room for misinterpretation.
How it works:
This feature can be enabled for individual or grouped Windows clients. Once activated, full-motion capture starts recording user sessions as encrypted and compressed videos for secure and efficient monitoring.
You can switch between full-motion capture and interval capture whenever needed.
